Barefoot Atelier Summer Camp is rooted in the belief that every child is deeply capable, curious, creative, and deserving of respect. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, RIE principles, and nature-based learning, our camp offers children a meaningful space to explore, wonder, create, and connect through hands-on experiences and authentic relationships.
At Barefoot, we view children as active participants in their learning journey. Our days are thoughtfully designed around inquiry, creativity, movement, outdoor exploration, and community. We honor the rhythms of childhood by slowing down, observing deeply, and allowing space for imagination and self-expression to unfold naturally.
Mindfulness and social-emotional development are woven into our everyday experiences. Through reflective conversations, breathing practices, collaborative play, and gentle guidance, children learn to recognize their feelings, communicate their needs, build confidence, and develop empathy toward others and the world around them.
Grounded in Jewish values, community, and connection to nature, Barefoot Atelier Summer Camp nurtures not only the mind, but the heart and spirit of each child.
Admissions
Admissions at Barefoot Atelier begin with a tour of our space and an opportunity for families to connect with our philosophy and community. Applications are shared following the tour process, and enrollment is offered on a rolling basis as space becomes available.
We welcome children to join throughout the year, including mid-year enrollment opportunities once a child has reached two years of age. In addition to our school-year program, Barefoot Atelier offers seasonal camps throughout the year, including summer camps, holiday camps, and special programs during school breaks and high holidays.
